This is one of those pieces of art that I never feel I have enough time to stop and look at properly.
From the Newcastle Council website:
Tyne Line of Txt Flow is a 140m long stream of text. The text comes from Roman messages found locally, printed text from the time of King Charles the 1st and text messages collected in 2002 on the day of the Newcastle Sunderland derby. These are identified by translation into SMS text form. William Herbert has written a response making reference to the Skinner Burn flowing under the street.
There are a couple more pictures on my flickr photostream.

It makes a nice change to look down for once.
That’s great that! Where is it?
Thanks Alf, I thought people would appreciate a change :)
Dave, I can’t believe I forgot to say! It’s just off Westgate Road… next to Tillys I think. If you’re walking from Westgate Road to the Central Loft Building previously featured you just need to look down for once, instead of up :)
cheers for the info, I’ll take a look for it!!
I’ve been taking mental notes about some of your posts; I think I should go hunting for stuff like this next time I’m in Newcastle! :D
