Outside the Laing Art Gallery ,we have what is known as the ‘Blue Carpet’. As you can see its actually the pavement but its made to look like a badly laid carpet. I quite like it although its more a speckled grey than blue but I guess that wouldnt have sounded quite so good! For a

I dont think we have enough of this sort of thing in the UK.It is around but you really have to search to find it….I came across this one because I decided to drive home a different way yesterday! I think it really adds to buildings when its done this well.
