The market is located on both the East and West concourses of the Victorian station at Tynemouth.
Although now a Metro station it’s in the process of being restored back to its former glory.
The most important part of the project was to restore the beautiful roof. This is now about 60% done. This means you can browse the market under cover.
Market days are Saturday & Sunday, 9.00am ’til 4.00pm (ish)
Saturday is mainly devoted to antiques and bric-a-brac with a few other types of traders thrown in for good measure.
Sunday has a lot of craft & bric-a-brac plus books, cds, dvds, tools and general stalls.
Every third Saturday in the month there’s a farmers market running alongside the usual market.
