If this isn’t an ad for reduce, reuse, recycle, I don’t know what is! If you were anywhere near the city centre yesterday the smell and sight would have made you sick… Trash was everywhere! Our normally clean streets were filled with everyone’s refuse as day two of the Unison strike came to a close. They’re back to work today, so hopefully it gets cleaned up soon!
Here’s a local news story From Journal Live: Strike results in rubbish-strewn city streets

Further down from the well is this little bridge. It was very sunny, but seemed very dark under the cover of the leaves. I normally don’t do anything to my pictures, but I had to lighten this one up quite a bit. It might be a little grainy for some of you.

You guys get two pictures today! Mostly because I wanted you guys to see the detail of the above St. John’s Well, and because posting has been spotty lately! Sorta like a mini-catch up!
This Victorian well head in Armstrong Park is
made of stone with some iron supports. It is located in a curved wall approximately
7 metres long and an area of stone paving creates a plaza in front of the well. A
faux medieval inscription reads ‘Ye Well of King John’.
