  When those flats were first built a friend who was an architect on the project invited me on a tour. He took me up to the top floor and threw open the glass doors on to the balcony. As we stepped out the wind was howling and I had visions of being swept to our deaths. I never had much of a head for heights but it was worse after that experience.
