Newcastle Daily Photo started on 2 February 2006 with a photo of Central Arcade. It was originally on blogger.com but moved to wordpress in June of that year - with hosting kindly provided by Denton of the Daily Photo Map - thank you Denton!
Until recently we haven’t missed many days at all. Service has been slightly more sporadic recently due to my personal circumstances, but I’m working on getting more reliable. Unfortunately, I still managed to miss the 1500th post!
The long-lost Chris (if you’re there, Chris, shout so I can link you!), Cassandra and I have enjoyed bringing you daily photos of Newcastle over this last four years. Here’s to the next four years and 1500 posts!

I tried to find the album cover featuring the reflected Emerson Chambers without success but I decided to see if I could elicit some information from someone more knowledgeable than I so I contacted Sid Smith of Postcards from the Yellow Room fame (or not if you haven’t heard of him). His reply was:
“Hi there Alf, re Emerson Chambers album cover - was it not on an old Rubber Records compilation of traditional north east folk songs in an Owen Brannigan style?”
Rubber Records were based in the Impulse Studios in the old Borough Theatre in Wallsend but I still can’t find it. Of course, Sid spoiled it all by adding:
“I could’ve just imagined that of course.”
Lindisfarne did do a couple of records for Rubber Records I believe. This might start a train of thought going in your mind Peter. If it is any consolation Rubber Records only produce 45 albums.

I think you may have something there, about ‘North East Folk Songs’ - as I have been thinking about it, and I felt it was a ‘less famous’ type album, rather than a LINDISFARNE type album (though it STILL could have been Lindisfarne!)
