I’ve never been into the Cluny but I think I’m almost certainly missing out. It’s just never been very convenient for me, tucked away as it is in the Ouseburn valley under Byker Bridge. Another one that I should try sometime soon.

about Cluny ... posted by Beth
Well done, Beth, you’ve got your hat trick. I have never been in the Cluny. It always seemd an odd place to put a pub, in an old whisky bottling plant.
Good choice… not been before but have good things about it!
have “heard2 good things about it, that was meant to say! Honestly what am I like?!
Apparently they have good live music nights on here.
You’re damn right we have good music nights on at The Cluny!

Alf - I was hoping to win that bet :)
Dave, I think we knew what you meant :)
Sue - I really need to try them!
The Cluny - welcome! thanks for the link.
Couldn’t you ask the Cluny for a free night in return for all the free advertising? “Headofsteam” are you reading this?
what a great idea alf! i’d tell everyone how generous they are :)
I was just reminiscing about my old days at uni…then thought I would search The Cluny to see if it’s still about! I’m so glad it still is…I used to come here with my flatmates a good 8 years ago and it has to be one of best secrets that Byker/Heaton has to offer.
Really chilled out artsy craftsy feel and good ales, similar to Central Station but a much much nicer…
I’ve decided I’m gonna visit there again soon, living in Leeds is just too far away to be a regular unfortunately.
