  Raising cash by turning the bridge red, no. But awareness, maybe a little - it was turned red on the day Comic Relief was announced for this year as well, which probably did raise a little awareness. And once they’d done it then, it would’ve been a shame not to for the actual thing.

I agree with the point that you and Mosh made about giving the money directly to Comic Relief, but I think that the all show is about making people aware of Comic Relief and watching the progamme and ultimately give money. If Gary Barlow wants to pay a jet with his own money, well I think he gives enough to charities to be allowed to do so. I know awful stories about so-called celebrities going to Africa or other third world countries with Oxfam just to advertise themselves. In the case of Comic Relief last Friday it was pretty clear (and appalling) that Robbie Williams did the sketch with the Little Britain guys just to remind viewers that he still exhists and he can do something else apart from boozing! Anyway, even if only one of RW’s fans has donated some money because of his appearance, bless him too!
