  I lived down South for a while and Waitrose was the store I shopped in most.

  There used to be some sort of agreement between supermarkets, so some did not operate North and some did not operate South. I assume that has gone out of the window.

  I just wish they did on-line shopping and delivery.

  Thanks Jacob! Waitrose is a good-quality supermarket, and the extension to Eldon Square is new and yes, very nice!

  It was a Wednesday morning when I took this photo so not *too* surprising it was quiet. I’ve never actually ventured into Waitrose, but I’ll have to give it a go….

  Mrs K, I’d forgotten it was part of the John Lewis Group. I’ll DEFINITELY have to venture in!

  Antonella, Waitrose do do online shopping, but this store doesn’t deliver and the second nearest is Hexham which doesn’t deliver that far. Shame :(
