It’s not exactly cobbled, but it’s not the most even street, and it doesn’t get much traffic. It’s a nice street to wander down on a Sunday afternoon.
Thanks to Dave Miller for pointing out that this is actually the Cloth Market, not High Bridge. Ooops - I posted the wrong photo! Oh well - I still like the pic so will leave it.

I think the “cobbles” are called “sets”, but I could be wrong.

I remember on many occasions after a night of drinking at the Old George, I would make my way along High Bridge to get the last bus home from the bus stop on Grey Street. The sixties were a lot of fun! Thank you for all these lovely pictures. Have been in the US for years but I’ll always be a Geordie and think Newcastle is a beautiful city.
