I don’t know what kind of flower this is, but I saw it on my way home and had to photograph it. It sort of reminds me of a Tudor Rose in a way.
FYI: I’m going back to the states in 6 days to stay for three weeks. I will set this up to post pictures in my absence (a couple reposts maybe, a few new) but that will make RSS feeds not work. Just so you know.

This flower kinda reminds of a cherry blossom
love it Cass!!!!
Enjoy your holidays!!!!

Hello Cassandra
Thanks to you both for this site it’s wonderful, and as an exiled North Easterner living in Manchester I really appreciate your photos!
I really like this photo as it’s a beautiful flower - I saw this plant for real in Sheffield last week and it’s really eye catching . Just in case you’re interested it is a Flowering Quince shrub, see http://www.crocus.co.uk/plants/_/shrubs/chaenomeles-x-superba-crimson-and-gold/classid.780/ for details.
.
The photo is really nice, not sure what flower it is but I loved looking at it. Have a great trip to the states :)
I can’t, I’ve got loads of stuff to to move back afer having new carpets fitted in the house, really!
