One of my sisters has her birthday at the beginning of February. The snowdrops are usually in flower. This year, though, I’ve only seem then in the last week or so. These are outside the Jesmond Old Cemetery.

They are beautiful but everything is late this year. My snowdrops were out around the end of January but my garden is very sheltered. I have two daffodils blooming but the rest are miles behind. Cumbria Tourist Board has been asking for people to Twitter them when they see a daffodil as they are so late. It’s all this global warming to blame I reckon.
alf, we’ve had so many years of spring coming earlier and earlier that it’s good to see things arrive late for a change :) apparently it will make for a fantastic spring and summer.
