Empty Metro lines, looking towards Newcastle. Taken from the Metro website:
‘The Tyne and Wear Metro is a light rail system with 60 stations serving Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside and South Tyneside.’
This system is one of only two systems in the UK that goes underground. The other is in Glasgow (Thank you Wikipedia)!
The Metro was off for a while yesterday morning, but this was taken a couple of months ago.

Indeed it was off, I had to get a few buses to work! I still love the ‘Metty’ though. I’m proud to say I had a go at driving one on the test track in North Shields, in 1980!
Dammit - messed up the code! I wondered why noone had popped by. Hi Dave! And wow - I’m impressed!
I like this photo very much - the play of darkness and light and the tracks heading off to ?
Great theme day post!
Nice choice for the theme day. Very empty, at least until the next train!
Thanks Jacob!
Thanks Greg :)
