There’s the Newcastle United football shop, the Waterstones/Emerson Chambers building(both have been featured by Beth recently), Fenwicks, Eldon Square, and even St. James is making an appearance at the back. Just to the left and out of view is Grey’s Monument itself.

I like the angle…in fact, I like everything about this photo. And it gives one the feeling that this is a wonderful place to walk about and meet with friends.

Angels in cities - like Wender’s ‘Wings of Desire’. We’ve got the Angel of the North, true (see photo earlier) but there’ll be a good few hanging around the bars and gothic architecture, too, I reckon. Where else? Star and Shadow? Perched on the Sage? Hanging in Old Eldon Square, mourning its gentrification?
There are angels on the golden clocks outside Northern Goldsmith’s, just around the corner from this pic. I guess I was looking for something similar, until I remembered to read properly.
