Ooooh what a lovely picture. I like trains and particularly railway stations. So this picture is a treat for me. :)
Nice photo, it is always cold in the central station, even in the height of summer!
Lovely to find your site. We have recently moved to Sweden so it is a good way of keeping in touch. I lived in Northumberland, (near Ashington), but my two grown up children live in Newcastle.
P.S. I don’t think I’ve seen the Central Station looking quite so attractive. Must be the lights casting a warmth to it that isn’t usually felt. Like Elaine says it’s usually freezing cold.
Passed through here late last night on the way back from Darlington.
Chatted, with friends, to a squaddie who travelled with us. Thoughtful young guy, toughened, too. I wish him well and want to curse the system that makes jobs like his seem necessary to us.
Heather, i’m really glad you liked it! Central Station is one of my favourite places in Newcastle!
Elaine, I wonder why it’s always cool in there… Do you think it was built to be that way?
Lynne, it’s an honour to help you keep in touch with Newcastle! Thank you so much for your kind words!
Steve, the many different lives of train riders is one of the things that makes taking the train so interesting to me. I wish that soldier, and all soldiers, well.
