This is a very short distance from the Quayside. D (the hubby) says ten seconds; I say a minute. Either way, it’s not exactly far. It’s incredibly quiet; you can’t hear any traffic. It’s another reminder of how Newcastle can change from industrial to country within a few steps. Part of what makes this city special.

Mike, it’s really hard to describe. Walk along the Quayside towards the Millennium Bridge and just after King Street on your left is a little archway. Walk through there and you come to those steps, which take you up to Dog Bank. Then you can go right to go towards Tesco Express and the multi storey car park. Know where I mean?
