I’m a bit late for the Tyne Bridge’s 80th birthday (it was Friday), but here’s a picture of the Tyne Bridge (along with the High Level Bridge, the Swing Bridge and the QEII Bridge (that carries the metro) from 1980 - the 900th birthday of the ‘New Castle’ that Newcastle was named after. It’s in a subway under the A1058 that is also lined with other mosaics of the city.
