September 23, 2008 - Autumn’s here

the birds, newcastle, uk

Yesterday was the equinox, when night and day are of equal length. As my husband and I set off for work, we encountered these birds. With the heavy grey sky and chilly morning air, I felt nervous going underneath them.

I’d like to know what you think about Newcastle Daily Photo. What would you like to see more of? Less of? Do you like themes, for a week or a few days? Do you think the photos should be taken only in Newcastle itself, or are surrounding areas OK? North Tyneside? Northumberland? Gateshead? Where is ‘too far away’?

Drop into the comments, say hi even if you’re just passing through. It’s nice to hear who is out there and what you all think!

And if one photo a day just isn’t enough, don’t forget to check out flickr. I’m still posting photos of the Heritage Open Days - I took over 400 in two days!
