Every year this department store fills its windows with a story. The windows are about 100 feet long and the displays are always really impressive. Not very Christmassy but still worth looking at. As you already guessed, this years theme is Gullivers Travels.(sorry about the window reflections)

Hi Chris, nice shot, I like the effect…very dramatic!
j’aime beaucoup cette photo et ton traitement. cette vitrine doit etre impressionnante.
I like much this photograph and your treatment. this window must be impressive.
When I lived in Newcastle, I always enjoyed taking a stroll past Fenwicks window at Christmas time. I remember the “Santa Santa good old santa claus” song playing out from the speakers and a queue of people walking past it.
Ahhh memories
Just read yesterdays comments, and despite being 12.00, I have lost my appetite.
What a horrible thought!
The photographer managed to capture Mr Harrison in the forefront of Fenwicks window, as he was wrestled to the floor, covered with a tarpaulin and tied down with his underpants elastics, so not to offend shoppers.
An elderly lady was offered assistance by attending paramedics and the police arrived shortly after…………
Oh Apple PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy moly - what is it about underpants elastics that causes offence?
Fenwick’s window was an obligatory annual excursion forced upon us by my mother when we were kids. (Dad would never have allowed unauthorised trips to the Toon, you must understand.)
Don’t apologise for the window reflections, they are an intricate part of your photo and very welcome! This is a great shot.
I was always taken to Fenwicks window and now take my two boys to see it every year, i wish they would do more about Christmas though. Does anyone remember those horible aliens they put there one year?!?! Maybe one of the designers had a close encounter that year!!
My sister refuses to even look at the window until after rememberance Sunday…she’s 30 this year!!
Great effect on the photo!!
