  I love St. George’s and you have captured it well. I did some research earlier this year on a minor poet and author who was born in Gateshead and later settled in Whitley Bay and she used to worship at this church with her family. Later her brother was killed in the Great War and his name appears on the War Memorial near the church. I had some dealings with the vicar and his verger at the time and they were very helpful. As I have mentioned before, I love Cullercoats. I lived down south for several years and when I returned to the Promised Land I tried to buy a house in Cullercoats but they were just too expensive. One day when I win the lottery.

  CGP - we had people coming in to do some work on the house and wanted to be out of the way so we left home around 8am. Being winter as the sunrise is so late the light was amazing.
