June 21, 2009 - Two picture Sunday - Newcastle International

I had a weekend away with my family at the end of May. This picture was taken at around 4.10am when we arrived at the airport.

This one was taken a little later, after we’d gone through security.

June 20, 2009 - Northumberland sunset

This isn’t technically Newcastle. It’s quite a way north on the A1 - next to the turn-off for Holy Island. But I love the shot.

While I was driving up I saw a hot air balloon. I wish there’d been somewhere to stop to take a picture of that, too.
