Just discovered your blog and its fab! Me and my husband are both Geordies but moved away 5 years ago. Looking back through your archives I cant believe how the eldon square bus station has changed since I was last there. Great photos X

It looks like a cold winters day. Same sky here in New York.

Glad you like Vintage Kitten! Do let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see and I’ll try and get a pic.

Yep Mike it was FREEZING yesterday. The sky wasn’t like that for long but was gorgeous while it lasted.

I used to teach at Sandyford Road Public school in 1957. Is it still there? I know I do not recognise anything in your photo.
I knew exactly where the seat was just from the background in Northumberland Street.
I try to look in on your website every day.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Edith. I don’t think there are any schools on Sandyford Road and google was no help. Whereabouts was it? I took the photo from the bridge over the disused section of metro line that goes from Jesmond metro towards Manors, looking away from Jesmond. The Carriage pub was a way behind me.

Thanks for the compliment :o) Let me know if you want pictures of anything else!
