May 1, 2007 - Sunday Theme. You sure this is Newcastle? (re-post from 4/30/2006)

The whole point of today is too make our towns and citys look like somewhere else. You thought New York was on the east coast of America, when in fact its just a few miles North of Newcastle!!
Go HERE to see Brian’s NY blog,or HERE to see the one done by Chris, and HERE to see Joe’s. The American NY may be a lot more famous but I’d bet this one is the original!

Is THIS in New York too?

An ANGEL at my photo only blog.

Nice one chris

There is at least another NY in the UK — a village in Lincolnshire
on the B1192 not far from Boston!

Are these towns really called New York or really York as in “new”? I’m sure that didn’t come across right, but you know what I mean. Excellent theme day photo.

Yes… it’s a place called ” New York ” in North Tyneside …
it’s Mainly a council housing estate..
Though i’m not sure of the history of the name ” New York..”
i do know that it’s well over 40 years old making it ” Old New York ” i guess !

Tea please!

Great photos Inspired. What with Chris’s daily photo, Inspired’s photoblog and Ad’s feature in the Telegraph, I think Peaches and I need to raise our profile.
