The whole of the country was in chaos yesterday with public transport suspended(you can see here the metro shutters are down),schools closed and public sector workers striking for BETTER PENSION DEALS. well some of us had to work! my daughter took over 2 hrs t get home, would hve been quicker for her to walk. Do strikes really help? i’ve never been in a union but from what i have seen workers in the UK just manage to lose pay when they strike and the Government or employers continue to do what they want. I may be wrong, but thats my opinion.

A strike there is very bad. It’s hard for people to get about. Here in Atlanta it wouldn’t phase most people, everybody drives, Now New York would be in a world of hurt. when the taxis went on strike the city came to a stop.
