The blue door on the left of yesterdays image is the entrance you can see here to the jazz cafe. I went here once and with all due respect to jazz fans once in a lifetime was enough!! A very poular place that has been here for years.

ce club me fait penser au ‘duc des lombards’ a paris.
il donne envie d’y passer un soir et d’ecouter un solo de contrebasse

With no due respect to Jazz fans, I have to agree with Chris H. I can listen to pretty much anything …………….. except JAZZ. I have actually been in here, under protest, and the influence, and was amazed to find such a cross section of people. All appeared to be “normal” except for a strange desire to listen to something resembling an unfortunate feline friend being garrotted.
Off with Chris H to listen to some real music from across the pond on Sunday, and will not be visiting any Jazz bars in Leeds!

You ever seen the owner? He’d make a great photo. I’m surprised you got in there as he’s usually only keen on letting students in. There was a cartoon in Newcastle Stuff years ago where the Grim Reaper comes to take him away but he doesn’t have an N.U.S. Card (Student ID Card) so gets refused entry!

Tee hee! I hope you both have a great night in Leeds, not listening to jazz! Anybody for salsa?
