Just up from the Museum (yesterdays post) is this attractive gate to a small business.I thought it looked great.

Back by special invite………………….a text from Chris H, I return to offer my professional view of this subject.

This is the Chris of old, hanging round bars, but far enough way from them to avoid buying the next round!. I remember a very similar photo in the Hull Daily Mail, back in June 1981. The main differences being that Chris H was in the shot, not surprisingly behind the bars, and the lettering on the cell bars was “approach with caution”.

It had followed Chris H’s opening night as a Rock DJ at the Waterfront Club, and his obsession with playing “Crazy Horses” by the Osmonds which led to the now notorious Soft Rock Riots of 81″.
Does my memory play tricks on me, or was that also the last night that you hosted at that particular venue?

One of my all time favourites was, and still is, “The boys are back in town” by Thin Lizzy. When played at the Mayfair in Newcastle, it meant Paddy, Tim and Ad (me) were back in the North East, and Chris H’s flat was due for a makeover.

Happy days …………………….

Hi Chris! the postman would thank the owner of the gate for making his job a little bit easier :)
