great place to take the kids in the holidays lots of stuff for them to interact with and i believe it’s free.Be warned that it could make you feel like a fossil as i saw quite a few things on display that are still hanging in my wardrobe.

One thing I love in the UK is the number of free museums. I regret that here so many museums that are part of our cultural heritage are now so expensive to get in to. I used to hang out at the Australian Museum a lot when I wasa kid (insects in old wooden display cases, a few mummies, stuffed birds and animals). It tuened me into a museum-aphile. Even though the museums are now much more user-friendly, they are prohibitively expensive to get in to more than as a “one off” day out, rtaher than a regular activity.

I’m enjoying the tour of the city - it’s very impressive! How large is Newcastle - it seems quite large and cosmopolitan!

I like this one Chris
I am fasinated by architecture. Slate and copper roofs, and the brickwork would make this building around 1840s-50s at a guess. Prove me wrong and I owe you a pint. There will be a date somewhere on the front of the building. Another photo maybe?
