I’ve made you wait for Christmas this year, really, haven’t I? I hope you understand.

Fenwicks Christmas window is very Christmassy this year.

  1. Oh how I wish I could be there to see it! Do they still play that chrismas song sung by the local children? Anyone know what it was and if a copy could be found anywhere? If not, what are they playing this year?

  2. Oh! I miss the days when we would run to Fenwicks and press our faces to the glass. Of course, once my sister stopped babysitting with a roll of gaffer tape we were free to look from a better distance.

  3. Cassandra, I’ve never heard that before (but I never really do anything other than go and snap a few pics then disappear again). It sounds like a choir singing christmas carols though.

    Rachel, heh

  4. Cassandra, thanks to the magic of YouTube, you can be there, almost:

  5. Thanks for sharing the YouTube video, Alf! Watching it made us feel like we were almost there! Fenwicks has the most perfect front picture windows for such a grand and lovely display. Wish we were there now drinking up all that holiday city atmosphere! Never apologize, Beth….we totally understand. Nice pic’s BTW…no glare, good job!

  6. Excellent pictures, Beth. I haven’t missed many Fenwicks windows over the years as a child, a father and grandfather but I am so pleased that they have decided this year on the real story of Christmas.

  7. Thank you for these pictures. Evoke many memories.

Alf thanks for the link - yes it was nearly as good as being there.

  8. Thanks for that link Alf!

    Thanks Ash

Alf I was very happy to see that they’ve gone with the proper Christmas story too.
