St Thomas Crescent is just off St Thomas’ Street. According to google maps, the street has the apostrophe and the Crescent doesn’t. But if anyone knows better I will gratefully acknowledge :)
I believe that St Thomas Crescent was used as the location for Tony Hill’s home in the TV adaptation of Wire in the Blood.
I wish I could afford to live here. Lovely road, central location, and the Trent House would be my local!

I think I’ve replied to all the comments from the couple of weeks or so now. Thank you all for being so understanding.

Oh - and I’ve added an ‘about newcastle upon tyne daily photo’ bit over there on the right. There are only two questions so far - what else would you like answering?

Edited (again) to add that there’s been a vote for Britain’s ‘most picturesque’ street. The Shambles in York won - deservedly, to my mind - but Grey Street came in third after the Royal Crescent in Bath. Full story here… I saw the story on the BBC this morning and meant to post it but completely forgot, so thanks to my dad for emailing it to me just now :)
