This passageway links Nun Street with Newgate Street and is called Nuns Lane. This is taken from the Nun Street side, looking towards Newgate Street. It’s a pretty grotty alleyway, usually, but with sunlight cascading through it looks almost pleasant.

fab sunlight :)
Terrific shot - love the brickwork at the front.
Cheers.

This is wonderful
I like your dry understatement!! I wonder why it was called Nun street to begin with?
Very nice composition and light.
Nice shot but how did you get the sun to shine for you, it never will for me?
It is called Nun Street because nearby was the site of St. Bartholomew’s Nunnery founded in 1086 and dissolved by Henry VIII in 1536.

…such beautiful light… it’s the best shot I’ve seen in ages.
It is a terrific picture. I think the winter season produces some fantastic shadows & light.
