January 31, 2010 - Two picture Sunday - Dieu et mon Droit

So when I took this picture, I was mixed up and thought it was Trinity House. But it blatantly isn’t, as, err, I’ve featured Trinity House before and it looks quite different. So does anyone know what this building is? Google hasn’t helped for once.

If I’d realised I didn’t know what it was, I would’ve crossed the road to check….

January 30, 2010 - Jesmond Picture House

This pic is about a year old. I’m posting it because this building has now been demolished, as I mentioned in yesterday’s comments. I think it’s really sad.

January 29, 2010 - Old Odeon Building

I’m not sure if any people who don’t live in Newcastle any more are curious. But the old Odeon building is still abandoned, sad and empty.

Incidentally, I recently got this book out of the library and it’s fascinating. It’s available from amazon here.
