A few of you have been asking for photos of where I am now so here you go. This week will be all about comparing and contrasting Newcastle and Michigan.
The first is a shot of the ducks in the water feature at the Civic Centre in Newcastle
The second are some ducks in a local creek in Michigan
Don’t you just love ducklings, they bob about so freely.
Mind I like ducks on a plate too with either oranges or cherries. Yummy.
Your photography is still up to the usual standard. Brilliant.
Ahhhhhhhh, so cute. Hard to look at those photo’s and think of dinner? ;) So much better to see them swimming around with momma duck in the wild happy and free.

I rescued a baby duckling from a hungry looking magpie when i worked at York Uni (with the help of one of the Biology porters). It seemed happy enough when I delivered it to the lake and seemed to find a family but I did worry about it for days - did it smell too much of human?
But at least I gave it a chance - better than being gobbled by a magpie!
We are all somebodies lunch. Think on it. Oh and the veggies I know eat eggs. Mind I did have an Uncle who was a vegan - and my Mother used to dread him coming for a meal.
My daughter is vegan and it isn’t easy sometimes to prepare a meal with her in mind however, today with the huge variety of foods to choose from both grocery stores and farmers markets it is much easier. A much kinder way to live and help preserve the Earth resources….. I admire their commitment.
