August 31, 2009 - Two Picture Monday: Central Arcade

Two shots of the inside of Central Arcade in the city centre.  I love how quiet it is inside even though there are crowds and busses and lorries rumbling by outside.  Plus, it’s rather pretty.

While the cat is away, the mouse will play!  Beth is taking a well-deserved week off and that means I have an entire week to myself!  And i’ve decided to make it a special week and post TWO pictures everyday! So for the next seven days, there will be two pictures per post for you to enjoy!  Let’s all wish Beth a very happy week off!

I was in Starbucks near Centrel Station the other day. Waiting for my drink, I looked out of the window, and this site greeted me. The sunshine, the flowers, the railings, the station opposite… I had to take a picture. What do you think?

August 28, 2009 - Newcastle sunshine

The weather in Newcastle hasn’t been great over the last few weeks. This picture was taken at the beginning of August, when I was still holding onto the hope that we might have a decent month. Whenever there’s a sunny day you’ll find people sitting on the grass outside the Civic Centre. I’m usually rushing past, envying them.
