All Saints Church, just up from Newcastle Quayside, and Bede House. All Saints was apparently deconsecrated in the 1960s.
I’ve been putting more pics on flickr the last couple of days. You never know, one day I might catch up with myself….

about Old, and new ... posted by Beth
Great contrast, especially with the blue sky in the background. Ciao! A.
A wonderful juxtaposition of the ancient and modern.
I had a look at your additions to Flickr and I loved the “Rainy windscreen stormy sky”. The streak from the wiper and the raindrops on the screen are fantastic. Where was it taken?
Thanks Antonella - it’s a lovely sky innit?
I’m glad you like it Alf! And the flickr photos too. That pic was taken in North Tyneside, not too far from the Bowling Alley near Benton - near the Powder Monkey pub if you know it? if you actually click into the photo, though, you should be able to click to see a map which will tell you pretty much exactly where it was taken.
Yer clever aren’t ya? :-)
Why yes. I am ;o)
Anything in particular???
Well once again you’ve snapped something old and new (and you know that, ‘cos of the title!) - but you seem to have a great knack of noticing this type of thing. I like your Filckr shot showing the Monument and Eldon Square for the same reason. I must also agree with Alf; I think ‘rainy windscreen, stormy sky’ is my favourite too.
Thanks Dave - I didn’t realise until I got home and looked again :)
Thanks, I love that ‘rainy windscreen, stormy sky’ shot too but nearly didn’t post it as I wasn’t sure what people would think. Glad I did :)
