That looks like South Shields beach!

We all don’t seem to realise the North East has some of the best coastlines in the UK with sandy beaches stretching all the way up to Scotland! - Seaburn, Whitburn, South Shields, Tynemouth Longsands, Cullercoats, Whitley Bay beach, Seaton Sluice beach, Blyth beach, Cambois beach, Newbiggin-by-the-sea beach, Druridge Bay beach, Embleton beach, Beadnell beach…

Just take a look at Google Earth!

Additionally, Northumberland has the most castles of any county in England!

Mike - I studied google maps for ages before I came over here and much to my surprise, Newcastle isn’t flat! Neither is Edinburgh! I miss all your lovely and informative comments!
