October 23, 2007 - St. Mary’s Lighthouse

St. Mary's Lighthouse- Newcastle, UK

I’ve decided to take you on a little tour. This is St. Mary’s lighthouse that I mentioned yesterday that those in the planes see when approaching landing. The interesting thing about this lighthouse is that when the tide comes in, it covers the causeway, making the lighthouse into an island!

Love this photo of the Lighthouse! I think it’s my favourite place in Newcastle! I have really lovely - and happy - memories of my stay in Newcastle, and many of them are Saturdays spent near the Lighthouse with my boyfriend, either taking a walk along the coast or just sitting in the benches enjoying the sea air, the waves and the lovely view. I really hope I can go back sometime.
Thank you so much for the photos and the memories!
