April 24, 2006 - End of an Era.

I know not everybody likes football, but I make no apologies for posting this photo.Alan Shearer is a legend in Newcastle, and after nearly 11 years playing for his home town club he had decided to retire in 2 weeks time at the end of the season. He has had to ‘hang up his boots’ a couple of weeks early as he was injured last week. All he wanted to do as a kid was play for Newcastle United and score goals.Thats exactly what he did do, although its sad to say that he deserved to win somethng which he never did here.

Some more photos from ST JAMES PARK here.

You’re obviously a fan though. Last week I went to Leeds and told the Barça supporters I work with that I was off to see some quality football at Elland Road: Who needs Ronaldhino and Samuel Eto’o?

A living legend, It´s a pity he did´nt get a big final match at the end of the season.

One of the last few loyal players. Now you need to cough up 90 000 £ a week to players like Gerrard for them to show loyality.

Oh, and it was a nice pic btw =)
